RegCompact Pro will enhance your systems performance by optimizing the arrangement of data stored in your systems registry hives. During the normal operation of a Windows system, registry data is constantly being written to and removed from the registry. Over time this data becomes scattered within the registry file. When information is deleted from the registry holes are left which fragment the data within the registry. Due to this, accessing a few related pieces of information from the registry during program startup could become very slow as the system needs to traverse a very large file to find the data. RegCompact Pro solves the problem of registry fragmentation and large size by rewriting the registry hives into new files which are completely optimised and often much smaller. Your computer is restarted after the registry hives are compacted and during system startup the old, fragmented files are replaced with the newly generated and optimized ones. It is suggested to run RegCompact Pro at least once a week and after program installation and uninstallation to ensure your registry remains optimized.

Clear-It is the ultimate task manager that can clear the operating environment for program installation, CD/DVD burning, or resource intensive applications. Clear-It can be used to terminate applications individually or in groups to create a specific operating environment or as part of the process of Windows troubleshooting. Unlike the Windows Task Manager, Clear-It does not disappear until you tell it to, and even lists some programs that are not shown on the Windows Task Manager.
Clear-It can close all unnecessary programs and applications at the touch of a button in preparation for activities such as program installation or CD & DVD burning, which are supposed to be conducted without any other applications running. Clear-It also has an emergency stop button for use under hostile conditions. While Clear-It was not designed as an anti-virus tool, it has still been used with some success against worms that did not hide themselves in critical system files, giving users the opportunity to update and run their virus scanners without undue interference. |
